On November 19, Clarivate announced the list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2024", honoring 6,636 researchers from more than 1,200 institutions in 59 countries and regions. This list is finalized through the rigorous evaluation and selection by ISI™ bibliometrics experts and data scientists based on the citation data from the Web of Science Core Collection™ and the qualitative analysis. It witnesses a substantial increase in the number of candidates from the mainland of China, totaling 1,405 and accounting for 20.4%.
