Du Chunlan, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, professor, doctoral supervisor, and academic leader of the first-class discipline Landscape Architecture. Du is also a member of the Discipline Appraisal Group of the State Council, member of the Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, member of the Expert Committee on Landscape Architecture of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, winner of the special government allowance of the State Council, member of the National Guidance Committee for Postgraduate Education of Landscape Architecture, Vice Chairman of Teaching Guidance Committee of Architecture Discipline & Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of Landscape Architecture Discipline in Higher Education Institutions, the Ministry of Education, Talent of Chongqing, Well-known Teacher, President of Rural Vitalization Research Institute of Chongqing University and Vice Chairman of the Specialized Committee on Rural Human Settlement Environment of Rural Construction University Alliance.
Dean Du Chunlan has been engaged in research of landscape planning and design in mountainous regions, ecological restoration, garden history and heritage preservation, and contemporary landscape theory. She has directed the survey and design service of a number of major construction projects including Chongqing Garden Expo, restoration design of Eling Park, Wuhan Garden Expo Chongqing Pavilion, planning and design of Luojiaba Ba People Historic Site, design of Jialing River Jinhai Bay (Jialing Story Section) Riverside Park, Jiuqu River Wetland Park, restoration design of People's Park, landscape design of Wanzhou Jingyuan Garden, landscape design of Beibin Road (Huanghuayuan Bridge-Grand Theater) riverside subsidence zone, and design of important landscape nodes of the Jinfo Mountain under the World Natural Heritage Application Program. She has directed and completed more than 20 national, ministerial and provincial projects including key projects and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, and the national key research and development projects under the "13th Five-year Plan" and the "12th Five-year Plan"; published more than 100 academic papers; won a number of honors and awards including the Second National Award for Teaching Achievements, provincial and ministerial first prize for progress in science and technology, first prize for survey and design, first prize for outstanding planning and design, and international award for excellent landscape architecture design.
