A few days ago, the 2022 Intelligent "Smart BIM" Competition came to an end and the team from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University claimed the first prize among the college groups with the work "Digitalization · Sustainability-Building Optimization Design Based on BIM Technology". This team consisted of Prof. Zeng Xudong, Prof. Huang Haijing and teacher Wang Jingyang and postgraduate students including Li Xian, Huang Jie, Zhang Xiaoxue, Han Yunkuan, Chen Shiyi, Yang Yunyi, Fan Xiangnan, etc.
BIM laboratory team of CQU's Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning has won the first prize of "Smart BIM" Competition for three consecutive years. A total of 887 entries from foreign regions, mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been presented to the competition, covering all kinds of buildings and BIM applications at all stages.

In late March 2022, Guangdong Urban Architecture Society (GUAS), together with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) launched 2022 the 4th Intelligent "Smart BIM" Competition focusing on "integration of digital technology and real economy promotes carbon peaking and carbon neutrality". The competition aimed to improve the comprehensive application ability of building information technology in construction enterprises and colleges, further promote the training of skilled building talents and the application of new building technologies, help digital transformation, achieve the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" and explore new paths.
