Background
Climate change is a century-long challenge facing mankind. Building climate-resilient cities, minimizing the adverse effects and risks of climate change, and improving the ability of cities to adapt to climate change are of great significance to ensuring the safe operation of cities, improving urban competitiveness and sustainable development potential. The Fifth International Conference on Urban Climate and Urban Design (5th UCUD) aims to explore how to create a climate-resilient human settlement with positive mitigation and adaptation from the perspectives of urban climate issues, urban climate adaptive design, development positioning and advantages of different disciplines, multidisciplinary cross-integration and academic exchanges, and climate adaptation guidelines and standards formulation, and form a path and model for building climate-resilient cities.
The 5th UCUD, hosted by Chongqing University, will be held at the Shapingba Campus of Chongqing University from May 30 to June 1, 2025.
