Introduction:
The "International Seminar on Landscape and Ecology of the Yangtze River Economic Belt" focuses on the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Basin under the new situation as the goal, and focuses on providing a sharing vision and wisdom exchange platform for researchers from different cultural backgrounds at home and abroad who are concerned about the construction and development of human settlements in the Yangtze River Basin. The Forum began in 2019 and has been held for three sessions so far, achieving remarkable impact.
Strengthening the protection of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Yangtze River basin, exploring and interpreting the spiritual connotation and times value contained in the Yangtze River culture, and telling the stories of the Yangtze River in the new era are the premise and basis for inheriting and carrying forward the Yangtze River culture. However, in the current process of urbanization and modernization, the protection of the Yangtze River cultural heritage is facing many realistic difficulties and challenges. In the face of this situation, Chongqing University will hold the "Fourth International Seminar on Landscape and Ecology of the Yangtze River Economic Belt" in November 2023.
This conference invites scholars at home and abroad to jointly focus on the goal of high-quality development of the Yangtze River Basin, clarify the status quo of cultural heritage protection, clarify the value of cultural heritage protection, and then multidimensional discussion of landscape heritage and cultural landscape protection innovation, integrated development mode and collaborative governance mechanism, targeted to find the path of cultural heritage protection. It provides important support for the protection and activation of the watershed cultural heritage with the significance of Chinese culture, and promotes the high-quality development of the watershed.
