Undergraduate Programs


As one of the architecture schools that firstly offered the programs of Architecture (in 1935), Urban Planning (in 1958) and Landscape Architecture (in 1987) in architecture education in China, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of Chongqing University offers three bachelor programs in Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture for undergraduate students. The training schemes of the three programs have been adhering to Chongqing University’s overall undergraduate training goal of “broad skills, solid foundations, strong capabilities, and high qualities” and in combination with the teaching characteristics of architectural disciplines. Bachelor of Architecture

The Bachelor of Architecture program provides a balance of theory, design work and professional experience. The program aims to cultivate innovative and inter-disciplinary professionals with solid knowledge in architectural design, urban design, interior design, landscape design, etc. The graduates are competent to work in the fields of architectural design, architectural project management, and architectural teaching and research.

Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning

The Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning program seeks to equip students with comprehensive theories and professional practices in urban planning. This program opens a wide range of career opportunities in the fields of urban planning, urban design, policy consultancy and research, urban management and administration, and real estates.

Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture

The Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture program integrates scientific and artistic measures to plan, design and manage the nature and built environment. The program targets to coordinate the relationship between human and nature, aiming to provide students with broad and foundational trainings in landscape theories and concepts. Graduates are able to undertake landscape planning and design, landscape project management, decision-making and consultancy, landscape research, etc.
