Research fields: Regional architecture theory and methods, design theories and technologies of green building, safety design and theories of buildings and cities. 

Academic achievements: He has presided over several national support plan projects, and natural science fund research projects. He has accomplished several large- and medium-size building design projects. He has won a second prize of the Ministry of Education’s science and technology advancement and a second prize of national educational achievement. He has published 4 books including High-Tech Architecture and over 70 academic papers, obtained 2 invention patents.
