Research fields: regional architectural design and methodology, mountainous area urban design theories and methodology, large urban commercial complex design Academic achievements: He has participated in 20+ projects about mountainous city planning, among which 3 works won Excellent Planning Design in Chongqing, and a second prize for National Excellent Planning Design. He has accomplished 40+architectural design projects, and one got third prize of Excellent Design by the Ministry of Education. He has been in charge of 6 large research projects, 1 project funded by National Natural Science Foundation,1 Key Laboratory of subtropical  open project, a key educational reform project in Chongqing and a first prize for pedagogy in Chongqing. He has published 3 books and over 50 papers.
