Research fields: urban design, cultural heritage conservation, urban geology and ecology.

Academic achievements: He has won many awards such as “the invention star of science and technology of the United Nations” in the project of Green Heart Annular Ecological City Design in Leshan City, the design of Chongqing Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo in 2010(Mountain Forest City-Chongqing), National Excellent Design, Excellent Engineering Survey and Design from the Ministry of Education, and the first prize of Excellent Design from Chongqing government. He has been in charge of National Natural Science Foundation. He has been a researcher on housing and environment at McGill University and other institutions. He has co-organized the Mountain Residence and Environment Research Center of Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chongqing University. He has published over 30 dissertations.
